My great interest in getting children to read the Bible arises from the fact that my wife and I
lost three of our four children during their school years. This painful loss of the three was over a period of five years, from very rare and utterly different diseases that no specialists could treat.
Their final ages ranged from nine to fifteen.

 

But the heartache has given my wife and me the deep desire to see children get to understand the Bible, in order to be ready to meet God. God gave us that great blessing with those three children.

At one stage in my ministry God put me in a government high school, to teach the learners the Bible. I discovered how interested they were
in understanding a passage of the Scriptures.
We had 1,300 children taught by two of us, two Christian teachers. The interest was so great that for those five years I witnessed the only spiritual revival I have ever experienced.

 

It was also during those 5 years that we lost our own children. It was an intensely moving time for
us all.

 

That is where the idea of Into The Bible came from. After retiring from the ministry, and then from lecturing students on how to read Hebrew and Greek, I spent 9 years on research and writing the first four volumes.

This is a very slow work, but a most rewarding one spiritually.

I long for children and parents, our youth and teachers, and anyone, to have the benefit of access to the advantages of this material.
Unfortunately most people cannot read Hebrew and Greek which makes it is easier to understand and appreciate the Bible.

I simply want to share what I have discovered with children, with people who are beginning to read their Bibles, and with anyone who wants to teach children or adults, or those who simply want to get to know the Bible better.

 

The main principle on which Into The Bible is based is that the Bible comes from God, and it leads us to God.

 

The whole Bible is true, and it is perfectly reliable.
It’s what we need to get through life, and to face death. Our duty is to believe it, and to get to understand it properly. I hope and pray that those who use Into The Bible will hear God speaking to them, and benefit in their lives, and in eternity,
from that privilege.
